A dreary August
Morning makes for a somber
Day of willful spite
A dreary August
Morning makes for a somber
Day of willful spite
She sits up high on
Her makeshift throne, squawking like
A red, hoarse, parrot
A dull panic sets
The stress fills my body with
Weight like mercury
Suds and bubbles float
Across the soapy surface
Of the window pane
The sea was calm and
Yet, something stirred within
Unsettling old fears
Her tone was steady
Her eyes were dark and searching
Could this be the end?
The seconds ticked off
Though time felt still, her body
was electric then
This is another haiku written with today’s politics in mind. Love will win; we’ll be sure of it.
The fat spider weaves
a web of falsehoods. The silk
is rotten. He falls.
Restricted, unable
To process what has happened
Heart pounding, can’t breathe.
Hey, Friends!
So, I haven’t posted a DIY craft project in a long time. The purpose of this blog was to post weekly arts and crafts projects. Clearly, posting a new DIY tutorial has not been a priority. I’m sorry for that.
I have decided that I am going to revamp this blog in the coming weeks. It’ll morph into a writing/book appreciation blog. The current blog name (DIY Amateur Hour) won’t really represent its new purpose, so I’ll likely have to change that too. This means I could lose you, my sweetest followers.
I promise to tell you the name of the new blog should you wish to continue to follow. And I will of course continue follow you!
Thank you for the likes, comments and follows. Until next time!
