A Bit of Backstory…
I have been passionate about the written word since I was a little girl. I chose to study another discipline when I was in college, but I’m finally coming back to myself–if I can describe it that way.
I’ve only recently begun writing poetry again; after a near decade-long absence. This blog (originally known as DIY Amateur Hour) has been overhauled.
If you enjoy poetry, fiction and book reviews, you’ve come to the right place.
I understand if you wish to no longer follow this blog. After all, its contents promised something entirely different when it was first published. I thank you for following and ask you to consider continuing!
Introductions
The name of the revamped blog, A Room of Her Own, is a play on Virginia Woolf’s A Room of One’s Own. This blog will be my place of creativity, contemplation and questioning.
I leave you now with a quote from Virginia herself. Perhaps it will inspire you as it has me:
“So long as you write what you wish to write, that is all that matters; and whether it matters for ages or only for hours, nobody can say.”
Thank you for reading this. Until next time!
